The cathedral is considered the first expression of southern Gothic. The attraction of this building stems from the rich history that today allows us to appreciate the evolution of religious architecture in Toulouse over more than eight centuries. Saint-Etienne is built mainly in brick, the pink brick of Toulouse which gives the famous nickname to this magnificent city.
